China University of Petroleum

Founded in 1953, China University of Petroleum (East China) is a key national university under the Ministry of Education of China. It offers a wide range of programs across Engineering, Science, Management, and more, with 57 undergraduate, 34 master’s, and 29 doctoral programs.

Several disciplines, including Engineering, Chemistry, and Geosciences, are ranked among the top 1% globally (ESI), with selected fields in the top 1‰.

Located in Qingdao, a coastal city in China, the university hosts over 30,000 students and maintains partnerships with more than 250 institutions worldwide.

UPC offers English-taught undergraduate programs such as Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, and Business-related fields. Scholarships are available at national, provincial, and university levels.
