Over 3500 Participants Attended LEAM International Higher Education Exhibition in Penang

The “LEAM International Higher Education Fair 2024” in Penang, organised by Life Education Academy Malaysia (LEAM), co-organised by the Council of SMJK Principals Malaysia, and supported by Kotelo Educare, was held on 19th April at the Wembley Hotel, Penang, Malaysia. The event attracted more than 3,500 students from national-type secondary schools, independent secondary schools and international schools, parents and members of the public from more than 30 schools.
Featuring the theme “From Malaysia to the World”, the LEAM International Higher Education Fair brought together a wide range of institutions to provide Malaysian students with a wider choice of further education. The biggest highlight of the fair is that it brings together overseas universities, local universities and local technical and vocational colleges to provide students with a full range of information on further education and help them find the most suitable path for their development.

Over 30 renowned universities and colleges from 6 countries, including Malaysia, China, Japan, Philippines, Australia and Singapore, showcased their special programmes and scholarships, attracting many students and parents to stop by and make enquiries. Many students said that they had a clearer understanding of their study goals and gained a lot of valuable information through this education fair.
The LEAM International Higher Education Fair in Penang was held in conjunction and concurrently with the Education Seminar and Annual General Meeting organised by the the Council of SMJK Principals Malaysia, which not only set up a platform for secondary school principals and universities to interact with each other and promote exchange and co-operation between secondary school principals and universities, but also provided a unique opportunity for students of North Malaysia region to get a closer look at information on high quality colleges and universities in the country and abroad. President of LEAM, Bock Chek Lim expressed his gratitude to the Council of SMJK Principals Malaysia for their support of the Penang Education Fair. He said that through exchanges between secondary school principals and universities, they can learn more about high-quality education opportunities, which in turn will help students to widen their pathways to higher education.

Nyam Kee Han, Founder of Kotelo Educare Nyam Kee Han, Founder of Kotelo Educare, thanked LEAM for being a partner in organising the LEAM International Higher Education Fair. He emphasised that education is a common service area for both Chrysalis and LEAM, while students and parents are the common service targets for both parties. Therefore, making the audience really benefit is the service tenet of both parties. Both sides adhering to the concept of ‘complementary advantages, resource sharing’, the strong alliance to create a more diversified, more convenient information platform for higher education.
He sincerely hopes that through this event, they can work together with colleagues from various sectors to promote diversified channels for further education and technical-vocational education, and change the general stereotypes of technical-vocational education in the society. He emphasized that the choice of universities or technical colleges for future students should not be categorized simply into good and bad, but should be considered as different choices in career planning. Students should choose the most suitable subjects and majors for their studies according to their own abilities and interests. Skilled talent is essential to the development of society and the nation, making technical and vocational education an indispensable part of it.

LEAM International Higher Education Fair 2024 Penang session came to a successful conclusion and was highly praised by all parties for providing valuable information and services on further education to students in the North Malaysian region. We will continue to work together and build a closer partnership with Kotelo Educare to create a better platform for post-secondary education services and help young students to pursue their dreams in the future. We firmly believe that through diversified channels of higher education and high-quality higher education or technical and vocational education, we will be able to cultivate more high-quality talents that contribute to the prosperity and development of the country and society.
